Fall 2018: Addendum

The Young Pavias:  We've been laying low and relaxing after a fun summer and traveling around in an RV. Raquel started a new school year and Matt is busy as ever at work. The highlight of the end of the summer was an O.A.R. concert at Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland. It was Raquel's first O.A.R. concert and Matt's seventh! We've been playing at the park with Shadow and watching A LOT of football. Raquel is becoming a huge football fan (no joke). It doesn't hurt that the Browns have won a couple of games.
The lowlight (or highlight, depending on your sense of humor) happened just last weekend...our usually well-behaved boy Shadow did something catastrophically dumb. Matt baked a beautiful loaf of gluten-free banana bread. He put a lot of love and blood, sweat, and tears into that loaf of bread. Then we went just up the street to the supermarket for no more than 10-15 minutes. Upon returning home, we noticed that the cooling rack and a kitchen towel were lying on the kitchen floor...but there was no sight of the banana bread. Shadow climbed up on the counter and knocked it off, then proceeded to devour an entire loaf of bread (which is about 10 days worth of breakfast for Matt) in a matter of minutes. Not a single crumb was left behind. We were so baffled that he ate the entire thing, Matt was searching the house (under couches, in closets) with a flashlight hoping that he somehow managed to hide it. But alas, he ate the whole damn thing. Matt punished him with tough love and Raquel felt sorry for the cute boy. The end.
