Summertime (Part 1)

New grandparents [Tim & Janet] patiently waiting for visit from Timmy and his parent too. They arrive July 8. Tim and I will be vacationing late July with our bikes of course. We are going to visit Presque Isle and ride our bikes lake side. Then drive to Niagara Falls and make our way on bikes to Niagara on the lake. FYI we make itinerary or reservations. We do take good old fashion maps and ride our bikes wherever the sights take us.

Kuhn Family: Timmy celebrated his first 4th of July!! He played with friends in the neighborhood and climbed up slides but was asleep before fireworks.
We visited Ohio for Donny's sisters wedding and enjoyed time with family.
Timmy's first Indians game. (He caught a game ball and met Mickey's cousin, Slider.)
First selfie with Aunt Janice.

4th of July Fun

July was a family-filled month for Nicole and Steve. They met with Vanessa and Elijah to go white water rafting in central Washington and then Jacque hosted us at her beautiful new house for the fourth of July. We were witness to our dogs trying to get along, Jacque's first sparkler, Elijah's birthday, and Jacque's amazing hand soap.

Joe & Corrine spent April in Paris!

Jacque & Bobby are settling into their new home in Portland, and Jacque is happy to have some time at home after much work travel in June.  We've had a surprising number of visitors so far, including Joe & Corrine in late June and Vanessa, Elijah, and Nicole for the 4th.  We bought a canoe several weeks ago and are looking forward to taking it out more now that Bobby's elbow is doing better after some minor surgery.  Cady (below) is all smiles because Jacque's downtown office still isn't ready, so she's been working from home, and we'll be welcoming our new puppy Ollie [one of the two below (three-week picture from our breeder) - we're not sure which yet] next month!

I [Adams] got an opportunity to direct strategic sales for a natural vitamin company called Rainbow light (so if you want vitamins, let me know!). Because of this, I resigned from my current job at Velcro, and will be taking a few trips to fill in my time. I really, really wanted to make Manila work out for Matt's wedding, but timing and flight length just made it impossible. Instead, I'll be going to Ensenada, Mexico July 17 for a birthday, then again on the 24th for a bachelor party. Then i'll be taking a red eye to Panama and exploring the country for 12 days with my favorite no plan, plan. I start the new gig 2 days after I get back on August 10 up in Santa Cruz. Exciting July ahead of me!

A busy month traveling for Mario and me [Jane]. We were at our condo in North Carolina with the grandkids at various times and then on to Boston and Lenox, Massachusetts for a wedding. Now looking forward to our big trip to the Philippines to help Matt and Raquel celebrate their wedding day!
(ok, I broke the rules the first month and included 5 pictures, couldn't decide which to use!)

The Harrisons spent most of July on the road. We were in North Carolina at the beginning of the month and just returend from visiting the Pavias in Cincinatti where we took part in some of the MLB All-Star weekend activities. Braden and Luke both finished up their baseball seasons recently, and we are hoping to spend the rest of our summer relaxing at home and enjoying our newly expanded back patio.

The Kentucky Pavia's have been enjoying a wonderful summer! The past two summers were centered around pregnancy and new babies but not this year. We have been enjoying the pool, new sandbox in the backyard, zoo outings, loads of park time and finally some cocktails for mom! We had a great time on two family vacations..... Lake Norris in TN and Myrtle Beach. The boys have a truly adventurous spirit so we had a blast. Mike's job is keeping him very busy but he has embraced his new role and is kicking butt. I have also been on a roll lately with work closing a few deals but most importantly finding a good balance between working and taking care of the boys.
A fun update is that Mike and I just wrapped filming for a DIY show called Sledgehammer!!!!! We just completed a full bedroom, master bathroom and closet remodel job and our episode will air on August 17th!!!!! That is right, we will be on a nationally televised show and we will be super cheesy (kind of embarrassed to watch but who cares because we have a beautiful new bathroom for free)!!!!!!!
Praying that everyone is doing well and enjoying your summer!

I [Matt] returned to the Philippines 2 weeks ago to finish all of our wedding plans together with Raquel. We've been relaxing at her parents' house in the countryside, fighting traffic in Manila to shop for stuff for the wedding, and traveling to the beach where our wedding is to finalize plans. We surfed a bit last week, but it's typhoon season here, so it's raining everyday. Our wedding is just 15 days away, and mom, dad, and Mike arrive in the Philippines in about 10 days! So we've got a lot going on...and next month we can update everyone with wedding pics and moving to the U.S. plans!

Our July news is Aunt Janice was finally summoned to jury duty for the first time. Very excited to do my civic duty and was hoping to be called onto a high profile case. As it was, I was release today after only three days. I did not get called to the BIG case and now I'm back to work.

Family you know I'm [Jessica] not on Facebook or social media crap because... Well... I don't need or want people up in my business. But since this blog is family only I will make an exception!
July in San Diego is pretty beautiful everyday. I'm soaking up the sun, enjoy the beach, got a great Italian tan going on and working nonstop. Healthcare doesn't believe in summer vacations. I've been lost in house projects with my BF who just bought a house in SD.. But works and still lives in LA. Needless to say we live for the weekends and have been enjoy the house Fri. through Sun. It's not the most ideal situation and long distance sucks but I have a feeling exciting things are on the horizon.
Wilma (the dog) is great, Love (the cat) is good. All else is calm on the west coast.

Reust household update: We have spent the beginning of summer hiking and enjoying the great Northwest. Our dog Frankie is finally old enough to hike with us and he is loving it! We went whitewater rafting with Steve and Nicole and had a fun visit at Jacque and Bobby's house for the 4th of July, where we of course baked!

I [Alisha] graduated college and started a full time job the Monday after salary and everything! Big girl job:) I am working at aurora farms at aero as the assistant store manager. Not ideal but i gotta work my way up! And i moved into my own place in streetsboro! So far its nice but im SOOO ready to leave ohio! Ill be on the west coast soon enough!!
