Holidays 2020

The Kentucky Pavia's

Happy New Year!!!!! The Kentucky Pavia's had a wonderful holiday season. It looked a little different than usual but it was still special. Lots of family game nights, snuggles, viewing Christmas lights and preparing for the birth of Christ. We wrapped up at home learning but thankfully our kids are back in school starting this week. We look forward to a fresh start in 2021 and pray for continued health, happiness and peace for all of us! Love you!!!!

Mario and Jane

Mario and Jane enjoyed the holidays with grandkids. Thanksgiving was an intimate group of 5 for turkey lunch with us, Matt, Raquel and mamanonne then another turkey dinner with Harrison’s. We continued the Italian cookie making with the 3 sisters. Although it was a much quieter one than usual we spent Christmas Day with Mario’s mom and had her lasagna (including homemade noodles), then KY Pavia’s spent 4 days with us. We had Christmas on the 26th with them and the Harrison’s and enjoyed time playing board games, playing with cousins, and sled riding. Best Christmas present Jane received was a session at Artist for a Day with the 5 grandkids! Now we’re going to hunker down for the winter, hope we watch the Browns play late into January, maybe even February, and finally spend some time organizing 47 years of pictures!!😜

The Harrison Family

After a long December in isolation and quarantine due COVID, I’m happy to report that the Harrisons are feeling better and ready to start this new year! We were able to sneak away for part of our trip to Marco Island, Florida for Christmas. We also enjoyed seeing the Kentucky Pavias and hanging out with Nana, Papa and cousins after Christmas.

The Young Pavias

Raquel and I spent Thanksgiving with Mom and Dad and Mamanonne. We had a nice quiet, intimate lunch. And while we missed all of you, I must say the small gathering was pretty awesome too :-)

Then we went south for the December holidays. Since we moved back to Ohio in 2015, we kept telling ourselves that we were going to have a warm Christmas one year, and we finally did it. We rented an RV and drove down to the Florida Keys! Along the way, we stopped to visit Mike and Christie and the Kentucky Pavias, as well as Donny and Michelle and the Kuhns! It was so lovely to see family during our trip. Shadow was a big hit at the Kuhn's house as the kids enjoyed playing with him and feeding him pizza and Hawaian rolls under the table.

Our RV trip in the Keys was amazing too. We parked at an RV campground for a week and enjoyed daily walks, sunshine, a private beach, and clear blue waters. We also explored one of the FL state parks in the Keys. But mostly, we slept in, relax, and soaked up as much sun as humanly possible! Because we've been back in Ohio for a week and still haven't seen the sun yet :-(

Janice and Shiggy

Winter is going by quickly. The holidays have come and gone and we are clearing out our home after 30 years of raising three children and running two businesses out of it...not a task for the weak of heart.
Janice participated in Dressember for the first time this December, wearing a dress daily, helping raise funds and awareness of human trafficking. The grandkids were happy to help Nana’s photo shoot.
Shiggy is busy at work, we are both grateful to be working during these times.
Sending love and healthy vibes to all,
Janice and Shiggy XOXO

The Gaus Family

Hi everyone hope you had a great Christmas and new year!! Nothing new over here! Josh is traveling for work and penny and I are just hanging out, she's talking like crazy!! Full on sentences before she’s even 2! Hoping to celebrate her bday in March with a party but I guess we will have to see how the world is!
Here are some cute pictures!

The Reust Family

The Reusts had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed time with both families and a much smaller get together this year. Elijah is pretty busy with his new resume company launching and Real Estate, while Vanessa is busy with her job and the ever changing environment with a Consulting Firm. Rose and Judah are getting bigger everyday and the sibling fighting is just starting to take place, fun times haha! Lookong forward to some bigger family gatherings in 2021. Happy New Year all!

The Demaster Family

It was an extra special Christmas for us this year, with Lewis being born on Oct. 1st and enjoying the slow holiday season as a family of five. Charelston actually feels like “winter” during dec. and Jan, something we haven’t experienced in 13 plus years.
We decided to take a family road trip to Nashville, TN the beginning of January, and are looking forward to a change of scenery in every day life.
We are grateful for the never ending lessons this year has thought us. Life with a 3 year old, 2 year old and a 3 month old baby has been extreme, but Pete and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 😊
We are even more grateful for Nana’s visit, being much closer than the west coast!!

Tim and Janet

We enjoyed a warm and sunny thanksgiving with the Kuhn family in Florida. Christmas was spent with a surprise visit from the Hummel family. Always so much fun with the grandchildren.
Tim and Janet have decided to leave winter wonderland and take up residency in the sunshine state. Very Bittersweet move for us. We are exited for a new home and to be close to the grandchildren, but we are very sad to leave family, friends and our life in Ohio.
We have been clearing our year and years of “STUFF”. I swear when you put treasures in the basement they multiply into piles of junk!
I am sure you have heard of empty nest syndrome. Well, we are suffering from empty Jeep syndrome. Tim sold his refurbished 1952 Jeep. It was the last of the 4 O'Donnell family Jeep collection. Moving onto golf carts and sunshine 🌞.
Blessings and health to all. Xoxo

The Hummel Family

Happy holidays! I am sorry that we did not send out a card this year. We missed seeing everyone over the holidays. We saw my parents for Christmas and had a great time helping them pack up their basement. We’re excited for their new adventure in Florida and we’re grateful for all of the fun times we had growing up in our Parma house. Happy 2021! We are wishing everyone health and happiness this year.

Ava is in an in-home daycare and this is her dancing with her “best friend”

The Kuhn Family

The Kuhn Family says hello from sunny Florida,
We are very excited for Nana and Papa to move to Florida!! Timmy and Tony have been busy designing their new bedroom. We spent a quiet Christmas at home this year. We loved seeing Matt and Raquel on their vacation to the keys.
We missed family over the holiday season.
We are enjoying college football bowl season and are celebrating the Browns win!!
Love and smiles,
Donny, Michelle, Timmy, Tony, and Tina

Joe and Corrine

Well a lot happened in the desert last quarter. We began with Corrine's birthday. Adams and Evelyn came in to town and Jacque, Bobby and the kids were on zoom. She was very surprised. The following night we went to our golf club for dinner and our closest friends were all there for another surprise birthday. Then on her actual birthday we went to Old Town Cottonwood. It is a quaint little town with shops, restaurants, wineries, breweries, etc. We parked the car and for 3 days walked the town.

Two days before Thanksgiving a package arrived for me. It was from Jacque. I opened it and inside was a ball cap (see pic #1). A beautiful ball cap that read, "Los Angeles Dodgers, World Champions, 2020. It took 32 years to make this cap. Here's hoping it doesn't take another 32 years to make the next one.

On Thanksgiving we had friends in for dinner. In mid-December our golf group went to Sedona for 3 days on a golfing vacation. Great golf, great dinners, great time.

We live in a 55+ active adult golfing community. Everyone has 2 cars. 1 for the street and one for the golf course. Every Christmas season we have a golf cart parade. We decorate our carts and drive around the community in a parade. I know to some of you this may sound boring and lame. Just wait a few years. It's a great time and you'll love it (see pic #2).

For Christmas we had friends in, same as Thanksgiving. One of our friends gave us a jig-saw puzzle of us (see pic #3). It is 1000 pieces and should keep us busy until we go to Mexico in February.

For New Year's we just stayed home and had a quiet evening. We celebrated on eastern time and were fast asleep well before midnight.

Hope all is well with everyone. This quarter we have proven to ourselves that you can go out, be safe and live a little. All is fine in the desert. A rams/browns super bowl would be great but it'll never happen.

As a post script; we lost Tommy Lasorda today. He was a great ambassador to baseball and a long-time manager of the Dodgers. I met him once. We were both on a flight from SFO to Orange County. He was very gracious, conversational and just a pleasant guy. He was not impressed with himself. He will be greatly missed. RIP Tommy!

The Bohlen Family

The Bohlens embraced the holidays with gusto this year because we're isolated and lonely, so why not leave the Halloween decor up until mid-November, skip over Thanksgiving, and go straight to Christmas?? 😀 We went sledding and ate pizza on Thanksgiving and filled most of November and all of December with decorating, baking, crafting, wrapping, and lots of movies and snuggles. Gigi is walking now, and she is FAST. Getting all of us in a photo with no one there to take it is something that could use a little work (see Christmas morning photo below). After four months, Jacque was finally able to replace her junior at work (just in time for the holidays!), so things are starting to calm down a little. Bobby has been busy wrangling the toddler madness, and our new thing is washing the kids in the dog shower in the garage because few things in life are as much fun as making mud pies (Portland winter = MUD MUD MUD in the backyard, and we've decided to embrace it!). We hope everyone is doing well and staying safe, and we are very hopeful that we will be able to see many of you this year!!
Love, Bobby, Jacque, Connor, and Gigi (and Cady & Olly, too)
