Spring 2020

The Gaus Family:
Hello family!
Miss you all! Hope you are all staying quarantined and safe! We have been spending as much time possible together as a family and even if everything going on it is nice! Penny turned 1!!! How crazy I have a 1 year old! She is starting to walk but still very wobbly! She got a play kitchen from her aunts and LOVES IT! She hated smashing her cake.. has a little Nani in her.. haha
Miss you all!

Janice & Shiggy:
It’s been a mild winter, but boy is this a spring one to remember!!!
We were fortunate enough to go to Charleston before the quarantine hit the country, spending 10 days with the DeMaster’s, in their new home. The weather was beautiful and the company fantastic...as usual a great time was had by all!!!
Shiggy has had some much needed down time at work. Janice is still working part time with Carmella Rose Health Foundation.
It’s always a fun day babysitting both Rosalee and Penelope...they love being together!!
Last, but certainly not least, we welcomed our 5th, beautiful grandchild Judah into our family! We couldn’t be happier!!!!
Much love to all of you❤️,
Janice & Shiggy

Reust Update:
Honestly, nothing new here besides a new baby. I have been self quantening now going on 9 weeks since Judah was born on 2/15. Elijah is busy trying to finish our screen porch project before I go back to work so we can enjoy it. Rose is liking being a big sister and loves to tell me every time Judah is crying like I can't hear it myself. I am getting done all the projects I never have time for normally with work. Lets just say my house is super clean! Although, I probably can't brag about that since that is what everyone else is doing now too with the stay at home orders. Stay safe and clean!

The DeMasters: Hi there, hope everyone is healthy and keeping calm these days. We’ve got house projects for days and the time to do, so no complaints over here! Wishing we were able to check out our new city, but that will have to wait. Been meeting some great neighbors and everyone here is so darn FRIENDLY! Happy to be down south and growing our family! Another DeMaster baby will be here the end of September!!!

Mario & Jane started out the year celebrating Mamanonne’s 91st birthday with all the Pavia’s on Jan 5. February brought another birthday celebration~Mario’s 70th!! We had a great family weekend with a CLE Monster’s hockey game on Friday night. The grandkids had fun celebrating with Papa. Saturday night was a fun “adults only” celebration at MichaelAngelo’s Winery. With March came the craziness of the corona virus so we are now hunkered down at home, exercising often (have plenty of time😜), watching Netflix movies, and doing what old people do: “honey let’s go ride around in the car for fun”! The highlight of the last few weeks was a virtual Sunday family dinner and seeing the kids & grandkids’ smiling faces was the best! Stay safe, stay healthy and looking forward to our next family get-together💕

The Young Pavias have been doing quite well amidst these difficult times. Matt is still working from home full-time, with his "office" moved into the basement. Raquel's school is closed for the foreseeable future (at least until May 1st), so she has been focusing on her graduate studies. exercising (100-mile challenge in April!), spending time with Shadow, and learning how to rollerblade! We're taking more daily walks (sometimes 2x per day) with Shadow as the weather here in Cleveland starts warming up. Matt is trying to cook as much as possible because it's his favorite thing to do inside. He survived a first attempt at bread making from scratch...and while there is much room for improvement, the first loaf turned out delicious. We had some fun last week with a Pavia family Sunday dinner on Zoom with Mom and Dad, The Harrisons, and The Kentucky Pavias. We're really looking forward to even more Spring weather so we can get outside and start this year's garden, yard work, and more nature walks with Shadow. Some highlights from the past couple of months:
  • Raquel passed her US Citizenship test! We celebrated with vegan burgers, bottomless fries, and beers at Red Robin! She wasn't able to be sworn in yet because her ceremony was cancelled due to coronavirus. But she passed so will be sworn in when this passes.
  • We celebrated Dad's 70th birthday at Michael Angelo's Winery with the whole fam.
  • We celebrated Matt's birthday with a special dinner at an all-you-can-eat sushi and noodles joint.
Much love to all - stay home and stay safe!

The Harrison’s are in full on home school mode. Traci has be teaching K, 2nd, 5th and high school all in one LONG days work. Brian is in charge of recess ðŸ˜ƒ Can’t complain though...we’ve all been healthy and are getting lots of family time. We are blessed!

The Kentucky Pavia’s are staying healthy and strong during this challenging time. Mike's job is keeping him busier than ever as he works from home. The boys are home from school and we have made the most of it. Lots of time in creeks, hiking, building forts, catching critters, watching movies, playing games and shaving Mohawks!!!! We have had challenging times as well but our faith is strong and we know this too shall pass. Prayers that everyone is staying healthy and sane! We love you!

Quarantine with the Kuhn’s
This spring has brought about more time together as a family. While we are missing spring sports and amusement parks, we have been using this extra time to play games and create fun memories at home.

Hugs from 6 feet apart
Donny, Michelle, Timmy, Tony, and Tina

Tim and Janet were official snow birds this past winter. Blessed to enjoy warm weather and grandchildren. Lock down has consisted of quilting, sewing face masks, reading, 1,000piece puzzles, designing /building train Lionel train tracks and our favorite bike rides in the metro parks.

The Hummel family is enjoying having some extra time with Ava as we work from home. Steve started a new job this month (in his same department). He’ll now be working with the EPA to monitor toxic chemicals in the Chesapeake Bay. He is excited to have more field work once he can be back in the office. We’re wishing everyone a healthy and safe summer :).

The Bohlens were on a travel smorgasbord before that came to a screeching halt.  We visited Bobby's family in Rhode Island in early January, Jacque's parents in Arizona in mid-January, and tacked a family vacation onto Jacque's work trip to Hawaii (I swear I have actual clients there...) in late February.  And then the madness stopped and the crazy set in :) Jacque is crazy busy with work (though happy to be), Bobby is building a (ordered) jungle gym in the backyard, Connor is rapidly becoming a three-nager with an aversion to potty training, and Gigi is the happiest person in the house (maybe the world?) and army crawling all over.  We hope everyone is safe well and can't wait until we can all be together!  Much love and big hugs!

Joe & Corrine:
I am sure this turned out to be a most difficult quarter for everyone. Fortunately we took our annual Mexico trip just before this happened. We were there in February and into March, returning on March 7. Other than the trip we stayed home and upon our return started washing our hands with regularity. The picture is Sunday Brunch, with our friends that went with us, at our country club in Mexico. We are seated on the rail looking at the 18th green. This is a 4 hour event for us and includes unlimited champagne. You would like it.
STAY SAFE EVERYONE!
Joe & Corrine

The Little Chimeras:  It's been an exciting last few months! Last night, for a quick glimpse, we went on a trip all the way to the patio, and then still had time to hit up the living room too! It was quite an adventure! Haha, in all seriousness, we're good and healthy, and have been playing a lot of games and filling our time with work (luckily). Eve has started to go crazy in the kitchen making everything from scratch, so next time we come out to Cleveland I may need to buy an extra seat to fit, but it's so worth it! Hope everyone is staying healthy, and sane! We should do a zoom happy hour soon! Miss you all!
