Winter 2019

The Gaus Family:
Hello family!!
As you all probably know by now, our biggest update is the birth of our baby girl Penelope Claire Gaus!!! Here are some photos of her from the hospital and over the past week! She is the light of our life! And parenthood has been amazing! Can’t wait for her to meet you all!!!

Janice & Shiggy:  It’s been a hectic but fun winter. In January Janice was fortunate to spend almost 2 weeks in SD with Jessica and her growing family. Welcoming Margot and non stop playtime with J.R.
February brought an open house baby shower for Alisha..always a good way to get the house clean and in order!!
In early March we took a much needed Florida getaway for some R&R and of course the sunshine - its been missing from our lives over the past 3 months.
And last but certainly not least, we are indeed blessed with our fourth grandchild, Penelope arriving on March 31.
God is good!!!
Love to all,
Janice & Shiggy

The DeMaster Family: Happy spring!! But if you live on the west coast it’s always spring! Haha we had tons of rain this year and our basement/ future mother in law suit completely flooded, so don’t worry I’m eating my words! We are getting ready for a trip to Portland for a long weekend as a family of 4 the end of April. Planning to do some hiking and say hello to the Bohlen’s. Had a nice visit from Vanessa and Rose in March, they were a big help with J.R. and the second family member to meet Margot. She is 3 months already and such a dream baby, it’s been so easy with everything this time around, thank goodness. Feeling blessed to have two healthy kids and so far surviving two under two. Pete is extremely busy with work but life is sweet as a family of four.

Reusts Update:  It has been a busy start to 2019. With Grandma Betty's 102 Birthday Bash, Alisha's baby shower, Nicole's baby shower, Papa and Nana's Birthdays, a trip to San Diego to visit J.R. and Margo and of course the long awaited arrival of precious baby Penelope! Looking forward to Spring and Summer and waving a final GOODBYE to the snow......for now!

Tim and Janet took a road trip January and February to escape the winter freeze. We spent time in Virginia and Florida. Enjoyed wonderful family time and warm sunshine. We returned home to celebrate with family and friends at shower for baby Hummel. Looking forward to spring thaw and getting back on our bikes.

The Kuhn Family is loving being a family of 5. We love and miss family. I will try and get photos of all 3 littles and send them out.
Love and hugs

Nicole and Steve can’t wait for the arrival of baby Hummel! May 1st is only a couple of weeks away and we’ll be sure to keep the family updated with news and photos. Nicole went home to Cleveland in March for a baby shower and finally met baby Tina! Aunt Jane, Aunt Janice, and Vanessa were baking queens and everyone is still raving about the cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries. Steve has been keeping busy fixing up our new home. He installed a light in the nursery and built us patio furniture this month. We’re enjoying the last child-free month of our lives. Next blog post we’ll be in unknown territory :)

The Harrison's: BW baseball season is in full swing so things around the Harrison house are crazier than ever! Braden’s basketball season is winding down, and he has already started to make the transition to his summer baseball team. Luke is also finishing up his basketball season and starting baseball practice. Luke has also gotten into taekwondo. He recently earned a yellow belt and is now working towards his orange belt. Harper continues to enjoy gymnastics class and is excited that she is preparing for an exhibition at the end of May. Traci just finished up spring break and is counting the days until summer vacation… 43 😃 Here’s hoping that the weather in Cleveland gets warmer, and we’re finally done with all the winter germs!

The Kentucky Pavia's are enjoying a good start to spring. The boys finished winter soccer and have moved onto t- ball. Mike and Christie are coaching again and the boys are on the same team. We are loving being outside starting yard clean up and enjoying visiting parks and nature trails again. Our family is enjoying our new church home getting to know more families and getting involved. Truly enjoying this season of life and all that God has blessed us with. We will be in Cleveland over July 4th weekend and look forward to catching up with everyone. We plan to stay a while so lots of time to catch up. Love you all!!!!!!

MARIO & JANE: Winter found us hibernating and catching up on some projects, celebrating Mario’s Mom’s 90th b-day, watching grand dog Shadow (Matt & Raquel’s dog) for TWO weeks💜, visiting grandkids in KY, and going to Braden & Luke’s basketball games in CLE. With spring arriving we’re headed to North Carolina to update the condo and hopefully hit the beach a little.

The Young Pavias visited Raquel's family in the Philippines in January and February for a couple of weeks. We had a couple days at the beach, Raquel's best friend got married (Raquel was the most beautiful bridesmaid obviously), and mostly we just spent lots of quality time with Raquel's parents and sibs. We did a lot of relaxing in the warm weather and playing with her family's dogs! We miss them (and the Philippines) already!
Another highlight of the past months was visiting the Sky Zone trampoline park with the Harrisons. It was our Christmas gift to the kids and we finally had a time when they could cash in on it. What a blast!
Happy Easter to all of you :-)

Joe & Corrine: 2019 was kicked off in great formation. Took our annual trip to Paradise Village in Puerto Vallarta at the end of February (pic attached). Came home and sold our house. We move out on Thursday April 4. We will be renting for about 6 months while our new home is being built. The new house is a free standing condo. Nothing attached and no responsibility for nothing outside of the studs. I am giving everything in the garage away (except my golf cart).
Adams and Evelyn are getting married in Italy in May. We are going the old fashion way, by ship. It's a 12 day cruise and we get off in LeHavre, France (just outside of Paris). We then fly to Florence and will arrive all rested instead of all jet lagged. More on the wedding next blog. Bye for now. Enjoy the spring. I would say, "stay away from water" but I know from experience that is impossible if you live in cle.

The Bohlen Family has been hibernating from all the cold, rain, and occasional snow and trying to avoid sickness where we can (hard with a toddler...).  Connor was moved up to an advanced swim class (future Michael Phelps perhaps?), Bobby is busy designing nursery furniture, and Jacque is trying (fairly successfully) to take things easy given modified bedrest orders from her doctor.  We've been hanging out in the backyard whenever the sun decides to peak its head out, and Connor enjoys watching the diggers in the yard behind us as they start to build a new house.  We're keeping our spirits high until the summer and arrival of the next Bohlen (who hopefully understands she is NOT to vacate her current home until at least late June, but preferably July!).
