Fall 2019

Evelyn & Adams:
Hi Family,
It's my first time writing to the family blog! Thanks for being patient on our 'lack of contribution' toward this blog till now. ☺
We haven't talked much about our lives but it's been a crazy year so far - moving to Manhattan Beach, new job (for me), wedding and now, Adams is starting his own brand (Root'd).
We decided to give ourselves a last hoorah before we go heads down and launch Root'd, so we are spending some time at St. John & St. Thomas this week which is a lot less fancy than it sounds. For those of you who are curious, Root'd is a powdered multivitamin and we are launching in January with 3 items (Prenatal, Men's and Women's). Let us know if anyone is curious to try them out and wish us luck - we need it!
Keeping it short and sweet this time.
With Love,
Evelyn & Adams

Joe & Corrine:
No pics this quarter.
Not a lot happening in the desert. We met our new granddaughter, Gigi, in August. Adams and Evelyn visited in August. We went to dinner with them and had a great time playing games and just talking.
Today is October 7 and the movers will be here in about an hour. Our new home is ready and we move in today.
Our season has changed. We are done with summer and for the next nine months it will be what is called, "almost summer".
That's it. Kind of a boring quarter. Hope the Dodgers are still in the hunt when this is published!
Joe & Corrine

The Bohlens have been busy!  Mima and Nanu visited in early August, and Connor got his first set of golf clubs from Nanu.  They met Gigi in the NICU since she didn't get to come home until August 13th (five days before her due date).  Bobby's sister, Nie, and her son, Sam, came to visit as we adjusted to having all of us home.  We also took a two-week road trip: 16 days and 15 nights, approximately 3500 miles, 12 hotels, eight states (OR, CA, NV, UT, WY, MT, ID, WA), three national parks, and one happy family!  Gigi is over 10 pounds now (triple her birth weight!) and starting to "talk" up a storm, and Connor fluctuates between very happy and dramatically upset (note the complete meltdown at Old Navy below...).  Bobby and Jacque are surviving - ha!  Much love to everyone!

Reust Family Update:
The Reust's are excited to start enjoying fall and preparing for baby #2.....a boy! Yikes lol. Vanessa recived a promotion at work this summer and now manages a team of 5 from across the country, which has been challenging but fun. Elijah has been working on his real estate license and finishing his screen porch project before the snow hits. Rose is leaning more words every day and always keeps us smiling with her goofy personality. Her penguin birthday cake was a success for her 2nd birthday thanks to Jan's help!

Janice & Shiggy:  Summer was a blast!!! Between a busy work schedule for both of us, we found time to get to the the bay house every weekend for some R & R!
It appears the grand-babies are consuming our lives...and we are loving every minute!!
Janice spent a week in SD with the DeMaster family early September...it’s never long enough!!!
We are blessed and grateful!!
Happy fall,
Love and hugs to all
Janice & Shiggy

The Demaster's:  We have some exciting news to share, the DeMaster’s are leaving CA!!!! Pete and I have been ready to cash out for some time now and everything seems to be falling into place. We fell in love with the city of Charleston after a recent visit and are ready to call South Carolina home! We want less people, more land, smaller community and a lot more front porch sittin’!!! Mainly we want a slower pace of life for our family and are excited for the next steps.
Planning on keeping CA more of a vacation spot instead of everyday life. Pictures are from our recent road trip to Yosemite and Big Sur! Hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween with all the little ones dressed up!

The Gaus Family:  Hey family! Miss you all!! Nothing new here! Just penny growing bigger every day and josh and I trying to keep up with her!

Jane & Mario:  Since the middle of summer we have enjoyed time at our condo with the Harrison’s, attended a Pavia family picnic with Mario’s mom, siblings& families, babysat the Pavia boys for a week, golfed on our weekly leagues, had a sisters’ one-night get-away, and attended Jane’s 50th high school reunion (yes, Mario attended too!) fall finds us getting ready for Mario’s semi-annual golf trip and 2 Washington DC trips for Jane.

The Harrison's have had a slow start to school this year...many bumps along the way with transitioning back to not being home with Mom all day and illnesses that we just can't get ahead of :( That being said, hopefully we are turning a corner soon! We have also been keeping busy with fall sports of course. Braden and Luke are both playing football, and Harper continues to excel in her gymnastics class. Braden is also playing on a fall baseball team that is in 5 tournaments out by Cedar Point. We recently spent a fun fall day at Lakewood Park.

The Kenutcky Pavia's are loving life this fall. Mario started full day kindergarden and is loving it. Mostly he loves kickball but I think he is learning a few other things. Christie has enjoyed volunteering in the cafeteria and recess duty. Davis is half day pre-school five days a week and also loves school. He is the class clown and always organizing his friends. We have enjoyed watching the boys play soccer this fall. Mario started cub scouts and Christie is the den leader :) Should make for lots of family fun! Thanks to Jane and Mario we were able to escape to Florida to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Had a wonderful time and thankful for our marriage and family. Love to all and look forward to seeing you at the holidays!

The Young Pavias: We're sad to see summer go but fall has been nice for us so far. We visited North Carolina at the end of August and Shadow had his first beach experience! Raquel had a great day with Mom sailing on the Nautica Queen as Mom cashed in on her birthday present from us. Matt spent some of his time gardening this summer and was pleasantly surprised when he was able to harvest a fair amount of delicious tomatoes and peppers! We're looking forward to the holidays and seeing everyone who will be around the Cleveland area. Much love to all.

Tim and Janet have been enjoying early retirement, plenty of sunshine, bike rides and bright smiles from our precious grand children.
We have also enjoyed get away weekends filled with fun and laughter at the Zweigart’s Bay Breeze “resort/home.”

Hello from The Kuhn Family of 5,
We are back to school and enjoying the warm fall weather. We have been spending a lot of time relaxing and enjoying football season. The boys are excited for Halloween and have already picked out their superhero costumes; Timmy will be the flash and Tony is Spider-Man. Dad will be Batman (more like Alfred these days). Mommy and Tina will be theming their costumes with each other. Timmy started pre-k this school year and loves learning. He also started taking an ultimate ninja warrior class (thank you Traci for the class idea) and he loves it. Tony is now the big guy at daycare and helps take care of Tina.
We are looking forward to the holiday season and are very excited for all of the family visitors planning trips to Florida.
Love and all things pumpkin spice,
Donald, Michelle, Timmy, Tony, & Tina

The Hummels:  Baby Ava is already five months old! We’ve had a hectic month because Steve broke his ankle playing basketball at the gym. He’s recovering well and I’ve been an excellent care taker :).
