Summer 2018

Jane & Mario:  Our week with KY Pavia’s at NC condo was filled with rain, sun, beach, sand and lots of fun with Mario and Davis. Mario went on his semi-annual golf trip with good friends and I went to Washington DC with 8th graders in May (seems like he got the better trip😜). In June we celebrated 44 years with a night out to a special dinner. And we ended the month with a girls’ trip to the beach for an early celebration for Traci’s 40th (we missed the cousins and aunt who couldn’t make it, but decided we should do an annual trip for anyone that can come).

The Harrisons
are keeping busy with baseball. Kids have been enjoying “mommy days” now that we’re all on summer vacation. Brian is putting the finishing touches on the addition he built off the back of our house. Traci spent three days at the beach with the girls for early 40th birthday celebration.

The KY Pavia's are having a fun summer!!! Met the Harrisons in Dayton, Christie celebrated Traci's birthday at the beach, family trips to Lake Norris and the big trip to Bend, OR. First time the boys flew on a plane and they loved it! We are loving our adventures to various parks, pools and play dates! We are managing to get a little work done and Mike even got a promotion at work. We are blessed to have our health and family to enjoy such a fun summer!

THE YOUNG PAVIAS
  1. We adopted a dog. His name is Shadow and you can follow him on Instagram. His handle is @shadowpavia. We brought him to our Summer RV trip and he is loving every minute of it. He is the best travel doggo ever!
  2. We are making the most out of our CLE summer, taking long walks at the metroparks, playing frisbee at Bohlken Park and paddle boarding on Lake Erie. We took Shadow once to go SUP-ing but he freaked out and jumped off. Hopefully, he'll get used to it and love the water as much as we do.
  3. We went on a girls trip for Traci's 40th birthday celebration. No husbands and no kids. We had such a grand time! I feel closer to my sisters than ever and I am so blessed to have them in my life.
  4. The Great RV Trip. We are on our last leg of our RV Trip. We are currently in Colorado and we will cap this trip off with a concert in Red Rocks. On this trip, we have visited national and state parks in Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. We are loving the RV and camping life a lot!!!! Our RV trip is well-documented on Matt's and my Instagram. I also have a more detailed daily posts on my Instagram Story and they are included in ROADTRIP 2018 Highlight.

Janice & Shiggy:
Hello Chimera Family,
Spring started in a grand fashion with Jessica and J.R. spending the first week in May in Cle. Rosalee and J.R. met for the first time along with the mom’s (sisters) meeting each other’s baby for the first time...It was a wonderful week with the whole clan home!!! Summer is in full swing, as is our yard, we are loving every minute of this heat...well at least I am!!! Shiggy and I are still attempting to see live music when we can, he has been traveling extensively this year. My work is still busy and moving forward on a shoe string for now. Looking forward to spending a week in SD in August visiting the DeMaster’s.
Love to all,
Janice and Shiggy

Baby number 2 is on the way for the DeMaster family! Pete and I are excited to be a family of four this Christmas, (much sooner than we thought,) but looking forward to having the kids close in age! Two under two- let’s do this. Anticipating our first family road trip to Yosemite in August and feeling super lucky to have my sisters and parents coming to stay with us throughout the summer. J.R. is mobile, destructive and about to walk any day now, 10 months is such a fun age, exhausting, but can’t complain. We are ready for a laid back summer.
Ps. NOT happy, I repeat NOT happy about the news of LeBron. We hate L.A. and don’t worry, won’t be Laker fans anytime soon!

The Reusts:  We are enjoying Summer as best we can with busy work schedules. We have already been to the Zoo and plan to start some mommy and me swim lessons on the weekends soon. Elijah and Vanessa are taking a fun weekend trip in July to Dallas to do some shopping and visit our old stomping grounds. We are also taking a trip out to see the DeMaster clan in August and can't wait, San Diego is beyond beautiful and it will be fun to have the kids together again to play now that they are getting older. Hope you are all enjoying the warm weather and longer days, Fall will be here before we know it!

Alisha: Hi family! Miss you all! Literally nothing is new in my life. All I do is work. I don’t have any pictures to share! Sorry! I am going on vacation with josh Saturday to California, so I will have pictures for the next one!

Tim and Janet have been enjoying the return of bike season. We found a new path, endless miles of trail through beautiful quiet countryside. We also had the opportunity to visit the Kuhn family. Janet enjoyed a girls get away to celebrate Traci’s big 40th birthday at the Pavia “Calabash Resort”. Most important we are looking forward to the return of Steve and Nicole to Virginia, same time zone and a mere car drive away.

The Kuhn’s have had a fun and eventful spring and summer!! We have been enjoying visits with friends at Disney, Sea World Aquarium, and the Crayola Experience.
Lots of time at the parks (we do love Disney.) Now that it’s summer, Timmy and Tony are learning to swim.
And....
Kuhn party is 5 coming this November!! Mom is 20 weeks and baby is strong and healthy. Gender reveal this July. So excited to see everyone.

Love and babies,
Donny, Michelle, Big Little Brother Timmy, Middle Little Brother Tony, and Little Little Baby in Belly

Nicole & Steve: Nicole has a new email address! Please add naodonnell@vcu.edu to your contact list. Also, I’ve been expanding my recipe book lately and I’d love to add some Italian food and dessert recipes. Have a great recipe for cannolis, cassata cake, spaghetti sauce, or homemade pasta? Send the recipe my way!!
We are having a busy summer. I recently graduated and we moved from Washington to Virginia. Steve has a job as an ecologist in the Virginia State Department of Environmental Quality. I’ve joined the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University as an assistant professor of media and culture. We have temporary housing in Virginia but hopefully we’ll have a new home address to share in the next family blog post.

Visiting British Columbia with the in-laws

Selfie in South Korea. Summer travels!

Joe & Corrine:
Hello All,
The 2nd quarter took us to Portland for Connor's first birthday. He did a very nice job on his cake. I have a video of the fun (and mess) but thought it was too much to include. I am sure Jacque will include pics.
Our adventure this quarter was a 3 week cruise across the Atlantic and through the Mediterranean. Some of the highlight stops were Bermuda, Gibraltar, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Monaco. I included a few pics. The pic labeled Africa - if you look at the land across the water, you are looking at Africa from Gibraltar. "Inside the rock" is inside the rock of Gibraltar.
Hope all is well with everyone. Starting to think about the MLB playoffs. LA/CLE is a distinct possibility. Thanks for sending LeBron our way. The Lakers need him badly!
Joe & Corrine

The Bohlens have been on the road quite a bit.  We turned a work trip into a mini vacation in Western Montana, and we spent the first week of July in Rhode Island visiting Bobby's family.  Jacque's parents also came out for Connor's first birthday in May, and Adams tacked a few days onto a work trip to see his nephew, too.   Connor is getting into EVERYTHING, and we have learned that 30 seconds of unsupervised time can result in a lot of mischief.  We're excited to finally have some warm weather, and after a busy work-filled July we plan to relax and enjoy Portland and our backyard in August!  Much love to everyone!

Adams did not submit anything.  Please feel free to reach out to him individually and repeatedly to see what he's been doing.
